summit exhaust

has anybody gotten the summit diesel 4 inch turbo down for $299

I asked the same question roughly a month ago and got the same response. Come on guys someone must have put this exhaust on their truck. Give us a report... Anyone??

I don't, but there was a thread this past summer at www.ford-trucks.com about the Summit exhaust and the Jegs exhaust. I will see if I can find it.

As I recall, it was favorable.

I think that the exhausts are the same. Jegs is in Columbus and Summit is up around Cleveland.

The only people who don't seem to like it are the vendors selling $600 systems.

The only issue seems to be how well the packing in the muffler lasts. There is a suggestion that the cheaper systems use fiberglass packing that eventually burns up and makes the exhaust too loud.

Of course, that comes from the vendors selling $600 systems.
