Talking Retain factory camera in Escape 2012

Took better part of two days to figure this out so want to leave it for anyone trying to install a new receiver and retain the factory backup camera on a 2012 Ford Escape. As you know there are two things needed for a backup camera to operate.. signal plus and minus, and power plus and minus. On the Escape Limited the camera is always powered, so leave the power alone. The signal reaches the factory receiver on a plug. It's the only one with just two wires connected. Lighter color is signal plus, darker is signal minus. Cut the wires from the plug and connect to an RCA plug (lighter color to center post) and camera will work with aftermarket receiver (if it has RCA rear camera input). Surprisingly the voltage to the camera is 12 volts, but as i say, no need to even fool with the power.
