i spent last weekend swapping a worn out 5.0 in my 1994 f150 for a motorsport 340hp long block. used all original wiring, comp, mass air, intake, etc.., installed aftermarket headers and exhaust. my problem(s) motor runs like a bear at anything above idle, but will not idle, also seem to be lacking in vaccum dept. brake pedal feels like a brick when around idle but fine when in the upper rpm range any thoughts???
Make sure all vacuum lines are connected and correct. If you have a gauge, see what kind of vacuum the engine is producing. Should be around 15-20 inHg. The low power assist for your brakes makes me think you have a vacuum leak.
