PS Conversion Parts List

Say I want to convert a 1965 F-100 manual steer into a power steer without a donor truck. I was having trouble finding a parts list to do this since the guides are saying to find a donor and grab all the parts from the column to the pitman arm. I plan on shortening my 3 on the tree column and with that in mind here is what I have come up with so far.

Pitman arm for '72 PS new on Rock Auto: $65.79
PS Pressure Hose for '72 PS new on Rock Auto: $10.61
PS Return Hose for '72 new on Rock Auto: $8.24
PS Gear Box reman (Ford Box) on Rock Auto: $224.79 (No Core)
PS Pump w/ reservoir reman on Rock Auto: $104.79 (No Core)
PS Pump Bracket for FE Engine: Already acquired
3 groove crankshaft pulley from Ebay: $52

Shift linkage levers at base of column (for 3 on tree): The Fordification guide says these linkages are a different shape due to the shorter column on ford boxes and that they can be bent which I do not want to attempt. I did find the separate linkages at link below but they don’t specify use with MS or PS. Maybe someone here can tell me based on part numbers.
https://cgfordparts.com/ufolder/ford...er=C5TZ-7302-A

I also need to figure out the firewall retaining plate since the angle of the column is going to change. Is this the correct part:
https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/en/...-to-floor-seal

What does everyone think so far? What am I missing? The best price for this kit I found on Ebay is $795 and the above parts are just over half that amount. This kit also uses a universal joint which I am assuming is to change the column angle in lieu of getting a new firewall plate? I think I would rather find the firewall plate. What do you all think?

Engine stand for power steering to clear Saginaw box. Power steering firewall bracket for steering column. More than likely shorten your steering column or use aftermarket one.

I'll just trim the existing stand. Any leads on the correct bracket? I do intend on shortening the column. Thanks.

If you have a Fe then you need the other stand to clear any headers.

The bracket you need is the one on the left, stamped "POWER STR". If I can find where I put it I would gladly sell it... just can't seem to find it right now.
EDIT: Found it! PM me if interested.

That will save him a lot of leg work. But we were talking about the engine stand.

I'm not sure I have enough posts to PM but I do want that bracket. Maybe you can send me a PM?

Any odds an ends you need can usually be found here Flashback F100's - Home

He is a bit of a capitalist but he knows what fits what and usually has one. Might be good to read what he has to say about cutting columns.

Apparently I also need the inner column seal and I'm not sure what it's called. Any leads on that is appreciated.
