Hello, I have a 2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty crew cab, lariat 4x4 with a 7.3 Powerstroke that has 287xxx. I just replaced the ac and all it's components but it's still not blowing very well inside the cab. The condenser has ice on it and the cab stays barely cool so I'm thinking it might be the cabin filter. Question is : Where is it located? I've pulled the glove box apart almost to the firewall and haven't had any luck. Any ideas?
Good point, what I find strange is that the a/c didn't really work but when it did, it blew out ice cold and with everything it had to give for about 3-10 minutes depending on how fast I was going but then it gave out and it was unknown if or when it would work again or for how long. I was told that the compressor was going out so I changed it out with the clutch assembly, orifice tube and air dryer. We vacuumed out the system and then using the gauges we charged it and since then it works all the time when I turn it on but it's nothing like it was before when it only worked for a few minutes. What should I look at changing out next to get it to work properly?
