Working on a 1993 F150 XLT 5.0 extended cab and have an issue with the cat resting on the trans cross-member. It appears that at one time there was a clamp or hanger where the cat connects to the intermediate pipe. Can anyone provide information or photo of this area or suggestions on how to raise the exhaust a half inch. Thanks

 

I made hangers for my exhaust where the originals had rusted off by bending 1/4 steel rod into the needed lengths, hooking them into the frame and using an exhaust pipe clamp to hold the pipe/converter/muffler to the desired location. The original hangers are so rusted they would never come off the frame. So far it works good.
