I need some guidance on the next step on my 2000 excursion. I had P0671 that routinely popped and I figured the best bet was to replace all the glow plugs. So last week I did all the glow plugs ZD-11 only, new ford UVCH, I have a Stancor relay (that’s not Installed yet). So what do I need to check next? Does anyone have a troubleshooting chart for this?
If it matters I also have a P1211 that has popped on this trip. It’s only while towing a trailer so I’m thinking that maybe it’s related to the HPOP going out as I have an ICP of about 2200 and IPR of 73.
the P1211 can be many things from HPOP failure to your tunes if you have any to a leak stuck IRP, I have even had one attributed to a stuck waste gate.
P0671 is easy enough, failure in glow plug #1 circuit. anything from the GP itself to a wire or connector. just track it down and repair.
