Question Turn signal flasher

98 Ford F-150, 6 Cyl, 2 whl Dr.
I bought some of those new fangled LED bulbs for my rear Turn/Brake light. My 4-ways blink normal, The turn signals blink fast. My ? is: Can I just change the flasher or do I need to get a resistor? Also I can't locate the flasher, where is it?
Under the dash is a relay, under the hood I think is the flasher but it's a 5-pin square one. The parts store gave me # 552 a vary load flasher. So...... where is the flasher and will that help or do I just put back the original bulbs. These new bulbs look great they can be seen at jamstrait.com
1 set of instructions say change the flasher, which I can't locate and the owners manual doesn't mention, the other instrutions say I need a cross wire/jumper resistor
plz help me out Thx

Most of the time there right on the fuse block.

I wonder if a heavy load flasher for like when using a trailer would help it out. If you have a stock one and put a trailer on with good lights it can make it blink faster.

The turn signal flasher assembly is located under the driver's side of the instrument panel, on the front of the fuse panel for the 1997-98 F-250HD, F-350 and F-Super Duty models and under the center section of the instrument panel in the relay/flasher block on all other models.
