I have a 94 F-150 4x4 SC. It has 120,000 miles on it, I have recently replaced the radius arm bushings, upgraded the shocks to Rancho RS5000 and cannot get rid of the squeaking, moaning flexing sounds when I accelerate. It doesn't do this during normal driving, but if I am towing or under hard acceleration it makes an awful sound. Can anyone point me in the right direction
I removed all three pieces of the trans cross member, cleaned the dirt and grit from the points that attach to the frame and applied a lite coating of grease to attach points, retorqued all bolts and so far(fingers crossed)the noise is gone.Hope this works for you.
I to have a creaky popping noise coming from the trans cross brace area, and will have to try this fix some time. I also notice mainly when turning tight corners or towing a trailer.
