ForCal,
I think it is too high in the front also. I may see if ready lift has 2" spacers. It is so close, I can't really be positive. However, I have a grille guard to put on, maybe it will bring it down a little but I doubt it will, not with how strong the front ends are.
Hello Mwheue,
Yes, when I look at the body lines, it does look perfectly level. The hood is taller than the bed rails. Maybe it is just my eyes. Blue6.2 truck looks good with the 2".
We used a 2.5" Ready Lift along with an extra metal spacer to total approximately 2.75" of lift and ours is still slightly nose low. This is according to my level when I place it on the frame, nerf bars or bed rails.
Are these leveling kits specific to 250 or 350, gas or diesel? If not I can imagine varying results depending on those factors. 2.5" is 2.5" regardless but I would think rear heights vary some depending on combination.
Drawing lines thru the picture looks like the picture was not taken straight on. Drawing a level line thru the body shows you are pretty much perfectly level.
to me it looks clear as day that theres more space between your red line and fender well middle, compared to the rear. how that looks level to anybody is baffling to say the least. you couldnt even haul a bag of groceries with that truck
I think the advertised level only applies if you have the base springs. Not HD front, camper package, snow plow, or snow plow/camper package as they lift the front end.
I have the 1 up HD front springs on my diesel and it sits 1/2 inch higher. 295/65/20s on it and it looks pretty good. I can pull a 15k gooseneck and it sits fine.
If I could go back I would have done stock springs and 1 inch level maybe but that might hurt my towing.
Willynilly
Yeah I think it is to nose high also. I will call ready lift and see if they have 2" spacers. Every other readings and truck shows all showed 2 1/2 kits being used so that's why I just went with it. I will see what they say.
Hello Guys,
So, I called ready lift today. I was told that I am not the first person to have this issue with a gas engine. I was told that they engineer their kits based on the weight of a diesel engine. The Super Duty gas truck already sits a little higher than the diesel, causing the front to sit higher when a leveling kit is installed. IDK if that is true but I don't have any other information to compare it to, So, the fix that everyone has been doing, is to put 4" rear blocks in place of the factory 3" rear blocks. So, I will try that.
