this is Matthias from Germany.
Born 1973, 1 child, Automotive Engineer working in the HVAC and powertrain cooling department of a mayor OEM.
My life is all about cars. My first word as a toddler was not "mom" or "dad", it actually was "Auto" (whichvmeans "car" in German)
Die hard rear wheel drive and V8 fanatic. I literally hate FWD.
My girlfriend and I just imported a bone stock 1970 F-100 2WD long bed from Portland. Over the winter, it needs to be prepared to pass the German tech inspection in order to be able to be registered.
Beside the truck, I own a 1974 Ford Taunus Coupe (German mid size) converted to 1989 Ford 5.0 HO/5-speed with a Currie Enterprises 9", TrueTrac locker and Porsche calipers on Benz discs up front.
A 1992 BMW E34 535i, just a beauifully engineered driving machine.
A 2006 BMW E61 535d for everyday usage.
And a few project cars:
2x 1970 Opel Kadett
1976 Opel Commodore GS/E
1978 Opel Rekord
Hope to get help from you guys where needed, give help where I can and share some Ford truck experiences with you.

I'd embrace FWD if I were you. For everybody else. A lot of folks are out there on the road taking no pleasure in the drive, and can't (or don't care to) handle a RWD car, especially in winter. Let every soccer mom, millennial, elderly person, and new driver run around in FWD cars all they want. Their loss in the joy of driving is your gain in not having upside-down sideways cars strewn about the highways causing traffic jams. Bonus: less demand on RWD cars makes the prices go down too. .

I totally agree. Only hate 'em when I have to drive 'em.
My job is developing them ;-) Original filter housing is already installed.
It's odd to me to see an Audi towing a pickup. Here in America it is usually the other way around.
Just curious: Who is the manufacturer of the car hauler?
The Audi Q7 is a rental. I needed a car that is allowed to tow 3.5t. It is a really good towing car. The trailer is a rental, too. I think the manufacturer is „Humbaur“.
