Try not to blow a gasket, OK?

I did not realize you are from CAN so things regarding emissions coming online are very different from FED here. Maybe that is why you said there was no stringent emission law beginning in 1968 (1966 CA).

I went to work @ my first FORD DEALER in1966. So I have a pretty good idea of what is and what ain't. But some of the stuff you (and a few others) are coming up with I have never heard of and is laughable.

Again, please raise up and pull the wedgy out of your butt. I would hate to see you choke..

There were NO stringent emissions laws in 1968 the ONLY place there was in Cali the ONLY region with stringent emissions laws. NO manufacturer had to make calibration changes for 68 unless it was for sale in Cali. The Motor Vehicle Air Polution Control Act of 65 laid the foundation for standards to start in 68 but NO tailpipe emissions standard was set. They only mitigated "gross/excessive" tailpipe emissions basically visual emissions no more black clouds on acceleration the efforts were lacklustre at best. As there was push back from the Cali experience which seen NOX emissions rise by 28% in 68. The First fed emission standards were not enacted till 1970 When congress passed the Clean Air Act. Prior to this, there WERE NO SPECIFIC tailpipe emissions standards anywhere EXCEPT California.
Your google foo failed you once again, you can't believe everything you read on Wikipedia....

Work at the Ford dealer? Lot lizard? Cause obviously it was not as a tech, or you are the least knowledgeable one I have ever seen. Well maybe you were the front end guy, they just need a big hammer and strong arm,. or maybe the tire tech...

Nor can you believe most yahoos purporting some strange whistling effect with an inoperative PCV SYSTEM.

And you as a supposed engineer? What department were you assigned to, spare tire storage or cigarette lighter placement?

Did you wear a CASEY JONES hat? Did you get to blow any whistles? Own box of crayons? Did you color the walls?

The moron is a legend in his own mind.

... how do you keep a canook in suspense? ...

Which one do you enjoy playing, Moe, Larry or Curly?

You might want to see a mental professional. You keep hearing sucking sounds.

Based on the picture, the PCV valve has just been hanging out in space. The system from the PCV to the intake has been operating "normally" all this time if the valve is functional. All it does is create a metered vacuum "leak" that takes in "air" during particular vacuum situations. The PCV/Intake system doesn't care where this air came from.

The only thing that has NOT been happening is scavenging of the crank case vapors via the bung in the valve cover. This has probably caused zero problems with the motor.

Based on what I read, it appears that whomever replaced the valve cover gaskets forgot to put the valve back in place.

Pop it back in and press on.
THANK YOU!

So, in essence, you were the lead engineer over the whole shebang? You over saw every department. You were the go to man?

I believe it was more in the line of a CUSTODIAL ENGINEER.

Maybe all of that open air venting and venturi flow reversion set you up for early medical dismissal?

Yahoo 1 and Yahoo 2. Legends in their own mid.

... flow reversion ...

Dude quit before you strain yourself into irreparable damage, figuring out the calendar is beyond your basic grasp let alone the intricacies of a corporate structure or how an engineering dept is set up.
You just keep looking more and more pathetic with each post, kinda sad really. The worst part is you're not even smart enough to figure it out, it's is now like picking on the mentally challenged.
You should quit now before you have completely burned what minimal credibility you have left.

And BTW iit seems you still have not figured the difference between low pressure and a venturi. Seriously dude quit before you make yourself look any less credible....
