Alternator connections
The alternator was new when we got the truck not too long ago, so I didn't put it on.
There are 3 connections on the back of the alternator, but only 2 are hooked up.
Should all 3 be hooked up? If so, what is supposed to go to all 3??

I have gone to a onewire alt, but If I remember correctly the stock set up was white/black is the stator wire orange/blue is the field wire, and the think wire is the battery wire. The whole thing should be secured to the back of the alt with a small nut that is the ground. If you still have the stock set up you need all these connected for it to charge right.

I would like to, but as mentioned before I have changed mine to a onewire a while back. All my wire for the old set up is no longer there. Haynes Manuals are pretty good. Try pulling some of the insulating tape off the wire bundle. The wire underneth should show the colors.
