I’m sure this has come up but I’m looking for recommendations on front brake calipers for my 2002 f350. I have been pointed towards Rockauto.com for other things and it seems to be a good place. My front right caliper locked up and I want to replace them with good strong calipers, any suggestions?
thanks!
Ps I feel bad for always posting for questions but this is my truck unmodified with 33” Toyos open country mud tires, well unmodified as far as suspension, is chipped with 180cc injectors.
I found brand new (not rebuilt) Raybestos on Amazon for about $60 this past spring (rear caliper, DRW). Received the TRW supplied calipers to OEM at the same exact price of RockAuto rebuilt caliper. I considered my find a lucky one at that price.
Look around and you might find an equivalent deal. Don’t worry about finding something ‘stronger’. Just do regular caliper pin greasing and you will be fine. Replace the hydraulic hose when replacing the caliper.

Thanks, I’ll look some more over the weekend, sometimes there are very strong opinions that I don’t know about when it comes to parts.
Unless you are lucky and can get blue box (FoMoCo) calipers from the dealer (read: $$$$$$$), anything Motorcraft you buy will be rebuilt. I highly doubt you will find new FoMoCo calipers for a 2002 at this point in time.
Why not just get a Motorcraft from the dealer? It can't be that much more expensive.
I am still looking, not against Motorcraft, getting from the dealer is a royal pain however because I’m looking at an hour and a half drive so getting delivered is nice, but then I still have to deal with the core charge.
It does seem that Raybestos(sp?) has calipers on Rockauto for 2002 along with remanufactured Motorcraft and Cardone. Cardone has 10year 100000 mile warranty? Does anyone know if they are any good?
For the rear, '99-2004, unless I'm reading the RockAuto data wrong.
Ford stopped purchasing the new Blue Box calipers in 2007 from Akebono.
The Motorcraft do appear to be for the rear. Accidentally looked on the E-350 section and there seems to be more options which seems strange except I believe my rear axle is a Dana 60 and the E350 may not use that axle.
