tires and bolt patern on 92 explorer

would 31" inch tires fit on a stock 92 explorer and would a 5x5 bolt patern fit

I can answer the first part. On Gen 1 ploders (91-94) some can fit 31's with no problem, others will fit but they will rub at full lock in reverse. In order to ensure no rubbing you need a 2" suspension lift.

explorer uses a 5x4.5 wheel bolt pattern so you would have to use adaptors to fit whatever wheels you are trying to fit. keep in mind in some states adaptors are illegal for road use, and thay will change the backspacing of the wheel, and therefore make fitment harder to judge for your tires. in my experience, a stock 92 explorer fitted with 31 inch tires will rub the radius arms on sharp to hard turns with a stock wheel... don't know about adapted wheels
