Wheels and tires

What kind of modifications are required if any when running 16x10 with -32 offset wheels on stock suspension with 265/75/16s? Also how far past the fenders are my tires going to stick out? know it shows a picture of a 5 bolt wheel but they are indeed 16x10 8x170 with -32 offset

It should fit, I have some concerns though.

It's going to come out about 4in further than stock.

That tire size matches the height of the stock option of 265/70r17 pretty closely. If that's what you are running might not have to adjust speedo. Let us know the tire size you are currently running.

265 is going to be stretched on a 10" wide rim. You should really be at 285 minimum (take a look at the recommended wheel width for the tires you are looking at, they may not even work).

Stock wheels came in 16's, but it's a tight fit around brakes. Personal preference but I wouldn't go under 17".

I am currently running a 265/75/R16 the guys at the local tire shop said they wouldn't have an issue getting that size tire on a 10 inch rim I asked them if it would be safe and they said yes 4 wheel parts also gave the same advice. I'm just getting concerned because I have alot of different people telling there opinions on wether or not it'll work. they have the same rim option with a -6 offset I'm thinking that might be better. What are your thoughts?

You’ll be fine , I have a Michelin 285/75/16 on , the Tire kind of balloons at first but wears in real nice , it brought the truck up a little for clearance .

Is the -35 offset ok or would it be better to go with the -6 offset I heard the -35 might be hard on wheel bearings. What's your thoughts on that also can I run that much of an offset on stock suspension without having to worry about the tires hitting the fenders?

The 265 will work, it's just a matter of style and possibly warranty. Truck tires generally have larger aspect, so it's not going to look like a stretched tire on a VW. It will have a little less bulge and not look quite as fat as the 265's on your stock 16's.

I put the -6 offset in the calculator and it says it will stick out about 3in more than stock.

If the installer is an authorized dealer for the tires you are getting (you can bring it to them for manufacturer warranty) , you should be okay.

The other site to look at is customwheeloffset.com, see if you can find someone with a similar setup to see if it rubs and how it looks.

Not sure , you would need to talk to somebody more qualified than I on the set back, my wheels don’t rub at the 285 /75 and haven’t had any problems on suspension or bearings ,

I think most of these trucks that have the 16” rim have a 265 off the lot .

You thinking the -6 offset could rub the calipers? What offset is the stock wheels? That's what I'm running currently.

I think most oem wheels with coil spring fronts are +40 offset. Since you have stock 16's I assume you have an 03-04? 4x4?

If you have an 03, I forget if they have leafs in front, if that's the case then everything I said is wrong regarding offset and how far they stick out lol...

Yes it's an 03 and there is leaf's in the front. I'm sorry I should have mentioned that.

If your truck came with 16's, the new ones should fit around the calipers unless the inside diameter is somehow smaller. Most of the time aftermarket wheels have larger inner diameters.

I don't know the offset for the stock wheels on an 03, if you find that punch it into the calculator and it can tell you how far it will stick out.

To the OP...personally I would stay away from that wheel unless you like to constantly polish them. I have the same wheels on my 150 and they were pitting from brake dust within a couple months of owning them. I will not buy another wheel unless its either clear coated or powder coat. Plastic center caps are junk. The little tabs break off if you look at them hard. I am currently running only 3 center caps because I'm tired of buying them. I pull them off when cleaning to better access the nuts and seems like one almost always breaks when snapping it off.
Just a bit of my personal experience with them.
