Stiff Clutch
I have a 2002 Ford Explorer with manual trans. Yesterday when I was driving to boston for my night class went a pretty good distance on I95 doign about 85 - 90 sometimes 95 and when I went to get off my exit and was shifting down I noticed the clutch was very stiff, it still worked but was much stiffer than usual and remained stiff for several shifts then went back to normal. It also did the same thing on my home after driving the distance again at high speeds it was stiff when I got of my exit but not as bad and then went away again. I do alot of highway driving and this hasn't happend before and today on my way to work there were no problems (but I work in RI so I drive slower down here)
Anyone have any ideas what could cause this?
I've had the truck about 2 weeks the original owner had it about a year. It had 12000 miles when I bought it, it now has almost 13000. I've heard clutches adjust themselves to the driver could it just be adjusting to my more aggresive driving or is could there be something wrong? Other than that it works fine even when it was stiff it still seemed to work fine.
Thanks
