Does anyone know if the Insight CTS2 is bound to a vehicle once its plugged in? i.e. I'm thinking of going ahead and buying one for my 2017 6.7, but have a 2020 ordered. I would hate for it to not work on my new truck after only 2 or 3 months using it on my current one.
Just to be clear, I'm not looking at the programmer, just the unit that monitors everything.
I love mine in my F250. When its unplugged and plugged back in the first question asked is what Brand of vehicle. Once you select your vehicle, it doesn't ask you again unless you unplug it.
Cool. I'm on the fence about getting one since I'm getting a 2020 in a few months. I assume if it doesn't work initially they will come out with a software update. That's the only thing keeping me from biting the bullet and ordering.

It will work with the 2020. It’s only a display of sensor readings out of the OBDII, not a programmer. So i would almost guarantee that it will work just fine as it is now. Get off the fence and get it now, I love seeing that when I go in and out of regen, engine load percentage, the man at temp read outs, and the cool custom background you can import into it.
Nice! Now order the Built Right dash bracket. A lot better than the suction cup one it comes with. This is a pic with a 3D printed one I did of a copy of the Built Right but it didn’t work very well as my filament doesn’t like sun. So I just got the Built Right.

I have an Edge Insight CTS that I bought in 2015 and used in my Chevy HD. I then moved it to my 2016 Chevy. I’m getting mixed responses as to whether it will work in my 2022 Ford SD/PowerStroke. Does any one know?

Don't see why it wouldn't, they all use the same OBD2 connector and its just reading data. If you have it why not just try it? Edge doesn't list it as being compatible with the F-450, only 250 and 350's, but it works perfectly in mine.
