I have a 93 f-150 with a 4.9. So far it's been a good truck but my first in line 6 from ford. Rumor around the sandbox is that its pretty much indestructible and it has my curiosity aroused about its preformance/potential. I was going to build a 302 and change my hearing for a hauling truck but now I'm questioning if I should. I guess i have a few thoughts...
Turbo? I seen a few 4.9's that had a turbo installed and they said it made them quicker, after all while doesn't like to go fast...
Carberator? I like efi but am more of a fan if a carborator. What do you guys think and what carb would you use to feed it.
Gearing? Right now I'm running a stock 3.08 rearend with a 5 speed tranny. I an going to be using this to haul a work trailor with a variety of different things on it . What hearing should I go with or do we think im good were im at.
I'm not a novice to the world of motors but deffinatly nat an expert so any input would be nice. I've went down the wormhole of the perfect truck for torque and i learned as much as it confused me .thanks I in advance...
