Differential fluid type

What is the correct rear differential fluid for my 1978 F150 Super Cab with a 460?

80-90 . with friction modifier if it's posi.

synthetics are great but they'll let you know if you have any worn seals. I just use conventional oil.

2x on this. I'll help clarify things a little.

-> 80W-90 GEAR OIL is what you're after. Don't bother buying the expensive stuff (synthetics) as 440 has indicated because it's not a great use of your funds.

I used this in my recent Differential change (F350 with a Dana 70 and 460 engine) https://www.valvoline.com/our-produc...hetic-gear-oil and I had to actually add 4oz of Slip additive myself in addition even though the fluid says "LS". ( it started to stutter through tight turns).

After I added 4oz of Mopar additive
