a whlie back i questioned what would be involved in putting a e-series into an f-series.one issue was the difference in the p/s pump location.here is the deal.i decided to try it with the pump still mounted and...... it fit.i had already changed the oil cooler and driver side exh manifold, the f-series crossover pipe bolted right up next was the problem of the gp harnes plug not reaching.so i used the f-series harnes there.i also went from an external regulator to an internal one so the van harnes was used here, however the ip plug was wrapped into the other harnes so i had to use some of that also. the van air breather has the air restrictor built into the lower part of the assy(where it sits on the intake) so i used the lower part of the truck and the cover off the van giving me a breather with no soup bowl. hope this helps anyone who is looking at this swap. btw she fired up on the 3rd try and seems to ge good and strong. no smoke except when reving.
hi greywolf.
the oil drain plug is the same on both motors. they are right in the middle of the base pan,not a problem. is this the plug you are reffering to?
