Door latch strikeer plates

We noticed that the striker plates on our 62 Ranchero are cracked a little. The part number on the LH side is C0AB-6422011A. There seem to be a lot of NOS around all the way back to 59. From the photos they all look the same but the numbers are different. For instance, I see this one on Ebay (https://www.ebay.com/i/202096716094?...&ul_noapp=true) but the number is B9-642009A1. Would this be the same part for the 62. SUre looks like the same part but maybe there are subtle differences. Here is another one (https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-59-60-6...53.m1438.l2649) with part number C2AB-6222010A advertized as Falcon/T-bird 59-63. Again it looks like my striker.

Number Dummy, any advice on interchangable parts numbers over the years?

Thanks

I cannot help you, my 1960/64 Ford Passenger Car Body Parts Catalog is packed away. Call Green Sales (800-543-4959) and ask them.

The first ebay listing is for an aftermarket (auto parts store) 'replacement' striker plate.

The second ebay listing has the Ford ID number marked on the reverse side as an interchangeable part number. Dumb!

NOS Ford Parts down the street from me shows the right side in stock and probably the left side as well, but you will have to call them to verify the left one.

https://nospartsltd.com/product/c0ab6422010a/

https://nospartsltd.com/product/c0ab6422011a/

Dennis Carpenter, Macs and Autokrafters, to name a few, all sell reproduction plates, but under the Part #'s C0AZ-6422008A & C0AZ-6422009A for about $20/ea.

All the catalogs say that these reproductions will fit. All three of the vendors listed above are very experienced. If they say the part fits, it almost always does. But they have been wrong.

Probably worth $40 (+shipping) to find out.
