Outlet Bracket Interchange?

Im looking at E3TZ-5260-A outlet bracket to replace me E0TZ-5260-A since I can only find tail pipes with the rod style hanger.

I punched in a search for E3TZ-5260-A but the only results I get back are for a F57Z5260A. Is this a new number for it? It lists it as fitting 95 to 03 and I just want to be sure before I purchase.

Another thing is if it is the same I want to ask if E0TZ-5260-A and E3TZ-5260-A are interchangeable? It looks like they are but I never done this before.

There are two 5260's, one just past the muffler, one at the end of the tailpipe. Which one do you want?

The one at the tail pipe. I'm looking for the rubber doughnut one for use with the rod style hanger.

My 82 doesnt have that style but the only tail pipes I've been able to source is with the rod. I found one but I dont know if it's a superseded number and if it will even work in place of the one I have. I figure it should as the exhaust and frame was same style.

F57Z is a Ranger part number prefix, there is no way in hell that it replaced a 1980's part number. When I quoted (#2) your post, I told you this.

I'll take a look-see at the 5260's.

I understand that.

I'm just saying in general I dont know if the correct numbered part would interchange with the older style or if I'm barking up the wrong tree on a simplier way for my installation.

The number I got came from a listing when I searched on ebay for it and the ford dealership selling it lists it as inter hanging with the old 80s part number.

I know I dont have any way of checking for the latest numbers. I know my search for the number doesnt bring anything up or this ebay listing.

Where did you get these part numbers? E3TZ-5260-A is correct for 1983, EOTZ-5260-A is not correct for 1981/82.

I got them from the parts and illustration manual.

I looked at 7 different group numbers in the exhaust section to try and pin point the change in tail pipe bracket. Only two numbers I found was the E0TZ and the E3TZ under the F150 section.

From my understanding the E0TZ would be the plate style hanger with the rubber sandwiched between the plates while the E3TZ is the rod style hanger.

Ok and I take it E3TZ-5260-A is obsolete then cause I havent found any outside of that one I posted above where tasca is claiming it's the superseded part

NumberDummy, I was checking some restoration places to see and I came across this. I don't agree with the part number but wanted to ask if you think this possibly could be used for the outlet pipe to frame bracket ?

https://www.npdlink.com/product/hang...b/133917/60410

NPD lists it as a E9TZ-5260-B which from what I saw B is the bracket at the muffler not the outlet pipe. But it shows the outlet pipe style hanger.

I found one on ebay that was used but it had a different number of F3TZ-5261-HA. Right now I am at the point I will take what I can that will bolt to my frame and can be made to work to hang my new tail pipe from.

Well I think I will go ahead and just order the E9TZ-5260-B hanger and see if it will work. It looks identical to other photos Ive seen of the correct hanger and I cant see any physical differences in the hanger so guess I will have to take a chance on it and see.
