Fixed yoke 208?

everything i see about the NP 208 transfer case says that no units came with fixed yokes an no one makes a slip-yoke eliminator kit. HOWEVER, this '80 f-150 i'm parting has a fixed yoke and a slide on the drive shaft. It says it's a NP 208 model F. Anyone know is here's anything diferent between this T-case and the normal 208 and also if this was a factory thing or if some p/o did a fixed yoke conversion.

I had a 1985 Bronco 351w/c-6/np208f/dana44/9inch and it had a fixed yoke and a double cardigan (spelling?) for the rear drive shaft. I always thought it was stock.

that's what i'm trying to figure out, whether this is stock and the info i found is wrong or if someone converted this thing. . .
