Spedometer?
Hey y'all I have a 1979 ford f350 2w4 with a 460 automatic and I just bought a zf5 speed out of a 1993 f250 to put in it. I am just about ready to put it in. I think I have everything figured out except the speedometer. The pickup this tranny was out of must have had the speed sensor on the rearend because I don't see anywhere to plug in a electronic sensor or a cable. I'm planning on either getting a different rearend or rebuilding the one I have anyway because of the 4.56 gears and non limited slip so if you guys have any ideas on what year of rearend to get for a speedometer cable hookup that would be great. Thank you

unfortunately, the 93 truck your trans came out of used an electronic speedometer, not a cable style your 79 uses. the only way to get the cable speedometer to work will be to add a trans tail shaft with speedometer port on it.
another option s to put a cheap GPS somewhere and use that as a speedometer.
