1993 OJ Build
Operation FixOJ is officially underway.
I figure I'll start putting together a parts list. Please chime in if you see something wrong.
302 Roller block (will buy a one locally cheap that way it can be built while OG engine is still the truck.
GT40 heads (on hand)
New valve springs from Alex’s Parts
Comp Cams 35-512-8 (grind number XE258HR-14)
Stock intake
New distributor (MSD)
Summit shorty headers (have)
Filter relocation kit
Might do MAF conversion with Fiveology kit for ease of install
New custom 2.5” exhaust
Need to order a new transmission or personally rebuild what I have (definitely creating a parts list just for this because this will be the 3rd time this transmission has been fixed)
Extra tranny fluid cooler
External tranny filter
New, black interior
Corbeau seats
Fix all rust
New lift springs, (might go from 2.5” to 4” lift for spring selection, will also get extended RAs)
New fuel pump for piece of mind
Transmission parts list (currently)
Master rebuild kit from GlobTransmissionParts using Kolene steels and Alto Eagle clutches
New center support
F5 or F9 pump
Ive heard of replacing certain planetary gears and other certain parts with upgraded parts frjat were put in diesel E4ODs and 4R100s but no idea where to buy these parts.
Im also strongly considering skipping all the auto stuff and swapping in a ZF5.
This has actually been in the works for a while now, just never made a thread here.
Headers and heads are currently sitting in the garage, interior is completely ripped out, and hopefully all the rust has been identified.
I’ll get pictures uploaded when the uploaded cooperates.
