Went out to fire up my 01 SC 4x4 Saturday Morning and had nothing. When you put the key in and try to turn it over nothing happens, no clickin, i mean nothing. The battery is toast, right, WRONG! Put the battery charger on and let her cook for about 6 hours (10amp automatic). Tried to crank her over, nothing. Lights, windows, locks, everything else works except....the radio. Replaced the battery today (just hopeful wishin) , no dice. Help. Thanks
oh yea, it is an automatic
Did someone try to start it with the wrong key and now the computer has it locked out? If so, it will have to be towed to a dealer to be reset I believe.
See if you are getting voltage to the small trigger wire the goes to the starter solenoid when someone tries to crank it over for you.
Also, Move the shifter thru the gears and try again, just in case the neutral safety switch is going bad.
That is if it is an automatic.
If it is a stickshift, then check the switch on the clutch pedal and make sure that the plug didn't come loose.

lxman1, no strange keys, tried manipulating the shifter (auto). Have not checked voltage going to solenoid. The radio does work now, until you try to crank it, then it flakes out, how wierd is that. The radio did not work when the problem first
Towed to my local dealer, couple of hours and 116 bucks later shes good as new. Starter relay. I do not know what the connection the relay had to my radio not workin, but alls well now.
