I have a new sending unit and it has a 5/16" nipple. My old one has a 3/8". Does anyone see a problem with using a brass or copper adapter to connect the fuel line to the hard line on the frame which is of course 3/8"?
Nope, I have said it. If someone spots this.....they shouldn't be there anyway or I'm upside down and you should quit looking at my resto quality and help me outa this truck. LOL
X2 on EFI quality rubber line and EFI hose clamps to go from the sending unit tip and where it is hard line down the frame. 5/16's to 3/8's is not that much of a change. There was always a soft line connection there anyway.
You know I suspect the occasional (after long term setting) hard starting issue, that really began after I put in a new tank and sending unit to be maybe related to the fact (I am pretty sure) I went from a 3/8's on the sender to a 5/16th's. Yes I need to get under there and confirm it is a 5/16 tip on the sender, but I have bigger fish to fry, like a bad wheel bearing at the moment.
Just a side note of info to put in the tool box of trouble shooting, if it comes to that for you.
