Steering column trouble
Hi, I have a 2002 Ford F-250 and a little while ago it didn’t want to start. You can put in park just fine but when you try to start it back you get nothing, I figure it was something to do with the shifter. I can put it in to neutral and crank it just fine. Also yesterday I used my wipers and when I needed them again they wouldn’t come in. About an hour later I hit a bump and they started to work. I’m pretty savvy with most thing but I’m not sure what’s going on with it. Any help would be most appreciate. Thank you

There are a few shifter threads in the not-to-distant past that I can recall for various reasons (won't indicate correct gear, excessive play, truck won't start in PARK, etc.). Here's the one I marked as mine was starting to loosen up:
