My friend has a 89 bronco with 302 and auto tranny, not electronic overdrive. He had recieved a 351 block with the internals( pistons crank ECT) but no heads or intake. He and i was wondering what will fit from the 302.
Will the intake, upper and lower, heads, and all accessories work on the 302. Also will the flywheel need to be changed to fit the tranny>
Intake won't fit, heads will have to be be drilled for 1/2 in headbolts instead of 7/16, flywheel and harmonic balancer will have to be changed to 351 (can't remember the exact balance, 28 oz or 50 oz... I think the 351 is 28 oz).
you will need to get a 351 distributor as well and different oil pan. and yes 28oz is the correct flywheel . you can get one from a crownvictoria that had the 351/AOD combo.
You will also need a 351 ecu (computer) because the firing order is different.
