Battery help

I was just wondering if the battery in the link will fit a 1985 f250 without doing any modifications thinking about buying them tomorrow

I use Group 65 the group 31 are too tall for my 93

the Length is a bit longer than a 65 and the 65 is an inch wider than the 31 ... the 65 is 7 1/2" tall and the 31 is 9 3/8 tall

EDIT: wish I could get em to fit mine I don't feel like doing mods.

CCA is generally 850 but depends on how much money you want to spend you can get 950 too.

my biggest issue is the AIR Intake runs right over the top of the Driver's side battery and bolts to the Radiator support... I just don't want to change it... you may not have that Issue in the older truck, I think I had larger batteries in my 83 F250 they set a bit deeper too.

I get my Batteries from Interstate ... I buy their Re-Furbished and get at least 5 years out of a pair for less than 100 bux... I'm a Cheap Bastid

I've been buying batteries from them folks for many many years now, and if their refurbished looks like Crap don't accept it, the ones I get always look brand new and they give me a year replacement warranty .... it's win win for me South Tx heat kills batteries....

well even being a Cheap Bastid... I avoid Junk at all costs

IF ya want High Amp starting look into Super Capacitors, they are starting to be a bit more common, I guess in a Few years they may be even cheaper.

EDIT: I can't afford it.. it has pros and cons but this will get ya started if ya want to look into it https://www.polarpower.com/wp-conten...citor_0115.pdf

Group 31 batteries seem to fit okish for some reason one side of the hood sits a little higher any ideas

The battery shouldn't hit the hood, but double check incase you have one of those thick battery matts. If its just the hood out of alignment then loosen the hinges at the firewall and adjust accordingly

I would suggest some insulation pads on the battery terminals if they are hitting the hood.

So are you saying they are too tall ?? DarkOverCast said they fit just fine ?

OR is the problem the OEM Hood insulation ?

EDIT: you could adjust the hood up just a bit so it is even, that won't hurt anything.
Are the batteries sitting all the way down flat in the trays ?
