I am in search of my Grandfathers 48-50 F1. Anybody ever been down this rabbit hole? I have a good bit of photos and a good bit of history to try to track it down but I know it’s a long shot.
Red F1 which was originally green. It was in my family until 2001 when my aunt sold it in Denton TX to prevent trailering it to Louisiana. When she sold it in 01, it had thrown a rod and a South Carolina plate on it. The guy that bought it was from Denton, TX. It was garage kept since ‘82 in South Carolina and from ‘92-01 it sat in the Denton TX garage except for a photo shoot at Texas Woman’s University and to pick up a Christmas tree once a year.
Not expecting much but any leads or advice from anyone who has ever tried this would be appreciated. Thanks!
Not much info there to differentiate this F1 from the thousands of others out there. Something unique like a VIN or a license plate number would help.
To answer your question, yes there have been quite a few on this forum that I asked the same question...unfortunately there have been few answers.
