Well, I did it, I sold the 6.2 and bought the 6.7. I loved the 6.2 I just wanted the 6.7. I have wanted an oil burner since I was 14 and my dad drove them.
The 6.2 did everything I ever wanted and I don't really NEED one, but I wanted it for our trailer, I am hoping it makes it more enjoyable.
I grew up around Diesel and have a VW TDI Jetta, but any tips or tricks would be awesome!
I went from a 2014 XLT to a 2015 Lariat Old Truck New truck Old Cap:-)
Tips? The 2 best tips I can give you is buy diesel from high volume stations, change fuel filters at least every 15K miles, and use Motorcraft fuel and oil filters. Decent price on Rock auto or Amazon.
BTW, the best thing I ever did was trade the 2014 6.2L for the 2015 6.7.
Nice truck, congratulations. Couple things I can think of off the top of my head. Fuel additive, I use Ford’s PM-22A and replace the cold side intercooler pipe. Rudy’s Diesel is what most folks go with. There are a few other thinks folks have done / do, check out the 6.7 forum.
