Interchangeable Front clip for 2002 F150

Interchangeable Front clip for 2002 F150
I am currently looking at replacing a front clip on a 2002 F150. I get get a good deal on a 1996 or 1998 F150 and was wondering how easily would it interchange.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

It is what some people call the front bodywork forward of the windshield.
1996 is a completely different body style and will not work.
99-03 F150 is a direct fit.
97-98 has a different front grille and bumper
Also some Expeditions up to 2002 are the same as your F150 but I am not certain on which years.
