Brakes going out?
For the longest time, my brakes were fine. I always use my EB when I park but recently, I got in the truck, pressed the pedal and it fell to the floor. I pumped it again and got some pressure. Now, the truck stops ok but I really have to press down to make it stop. There are no leaks and the level in the resevoir is fine. What's the deal? Air in the system all of a sudden? Also, if I press my brakes hard enough in the rain, the fronts lock and scare the **** out of me! I thought this unit had ABS?!

Could be your master cylinder....attached under the hood on the firewall on the drivers side. It can go bad instantly leaving you with no brake pressure. Or a slave cylinder. One at each wheel in the calipers. Check your wheels and see if there is any odd fluid on the wheels or anything in that area. Since you said that the level in the resivoir is OK then I would lean towards the master cylinder under the hood. It can go bad and give no pressure without losing fluid.

http://www.asashop.org/autoinc/dec99/techtips.htm Search for THe Fading Bronco Brake Pedal. apparently this is a common problem, and replacing the master cylinder won't help. Let me know what you find, as I am starting to have the same problem.
