Grinding while accelerating

So I have a 2000 F350 7.3, whenever I accelerate I hear a loud grinding noise from then transmission areas or around there, but once I get going the grinding stops. It almost sounds like really bad tire rub or running over rumble sticks on the side of highways. There is no lose of performance at any point.

Does it sound like marbles in the TC? I don't know what years are affected but some of them just do that for some reason.

Maybe, like I said it sounds like really bad tire rub but from around the tranny area. I was thinking Tc or tranny but I figured I’d feel a performance issue if that was the case

If your running a tune it will be more prone as some tuners raise the line pressure. IMO i would change it out before it wipes out the whole tranny, apecially if its the stock TC.
