I have a 2008 F250 SD Ext cab 5.4 L SB. I am having a problem with the ABS, RCM and red Brake warning lights coming on. I also often get the low fuel warning as well. The problem appears to be definitely moisture related. If I drive it after we have had some rain the lights will come on. If I drive it a bit and shut it off and restart it most or all of the lights go through their normal check sequence and then go out. Occasionally the ABS light only will remain on. And generally one more restart of the engine and it will go out as well.
I have the on-line Mitchel repair manual so I have the wiring diagrams.
I am leaning toward a instrument cluster issue. My reasoning for that is that the problems occur when the vehicle is sitting in the driveway during the rain and not while driving. It has been a very humid summer so I am thinking possibly condensation happening overnight.
If there is someone out there that has had a similar issue maybe you can give me a place to start. Good advice is always appreciated.
