AC issues 2007 E350 Van 5.4L

Hello all,

My first forum I have every sign up for, see how it works, so bare with me.

This van has been setting for 6 years at the farm. I thought I would get it home and get it running for my son. We have cleaned her up and serviced everything. But we can not get the ac compressor to come on. We have power the low pressure (purple wire)and have jumped it but no clutch engagement, check for power to the compressor clutch wire and no power to the compressor clutch. There is Freon pressure in the system we checked that first thing. The fuse in the engine compartment for the "AC" is good. I have read about a ac relay, but not clear where it is to check the relay.

If I can answer any questions to help with this, let me know.

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Thanks

the relay is probably in the Engine Compartment Fuse Box

you may also have an Auxiliary relay box in the engine compartment too, if so it is in there.

Both the low and high pressure cut-off switches are wired to the PCM. The power to the AC clutch coil does not run through them like in the days of old. Check fuse 3 and check the AC clutch relay.

Yepper, And Ford designed a windshield leak to drip water right on the PCM ROFL

Ive lost count on how many I have seen with fried PCM down here in the Rust Capitol of the world.

I think they call it the Body Control Module nowadays but not sure as I refuse to own anything that new
