Well you have a carbed 300. What do you want to do with it? You can get a cam from any of the major cam manufactuers as well as PAW performance (they also have decent rebuild kits), northern auto parts has a decent rebuild kit for the 300 as well. You can find manifolds from offenhauser also sold by summit and jegs as well as previously mentioned PAW performance. You can get headers from hedman and hooker as well as clifford performance which sells any thing you could ask for pertaining to an inline motor, but some people have had problems with them, I have not, they are not cheap either. Most people recommend going with a 500 cfm carb as it will provide equal if not more mpg on a well tuned 6, than a stock 2bbl. You will need to intall larger valves and have heads ported to make a substantial increase in hp and tq. You will need to either mill the heads or use higher compression pistons to get the compression ratio up to 9.5:1 +/- to get some nice throttle response. You will need lower gears and a nice standard or auto with a shift kit to make it all hit the pavement nicely. As far as supply of parts you have to really look to find them but they are out there. Good luck
Clifford make a lot of straight 6 performance parts, they make dual headers for a 300, 2 or 4 barrell intakes, Crane cams makes a good cam for a straight 6. MSD make a double spark ignition module for a straight 6. Also, if you really want to make it go, i would do a couple more things: get about 30 to 40 thousands taken off the heads, get some domed pistons with valve releifs, and get a decal which says six in a row will go, also might want to get different rear gears depending on what you want to do. Clifford's web site is www.cliffordperforamce.com i think.
