I have a 2004 6 liter with a no start issue. I have narrowed it down it being no ground from the ficm to the ficm relay. I installed a jumper from the ground pin on the relay, then with the koeo I grounded the jumper and then the relay clicked and the injectors clattered and the engines fires right up.Is there a way I can put a ground to that relay to make it work??
A wise friend said troubleshooting can be hard over the internet even with the required information. There are a lot of no start threads out there and in the tech folder that indicate what is needed. Just run a search. Typically, the forum needs scan and DTC's data from your truck. Also, truck info, the current mods, fluid levels, recent work, maintenance up to date?, oem oil cap, etc. Forscan is a good scanning/code reading tool and its free/cheap. I just installed a jumper to verify the no ground issue.Is there some sort of switch in the ficm that puts out the ground to the relay or does the key on do it. Just wondering how to check to see if its the ficm or the wire itself?
