Heavy pull to the left
Replaced ball joints, tie rods, ends.
Started pulling to the left.
Took it to mom and pop joint. Aligned it. Not much change. Took it back. "It's all in spec heres the printout... yada yada"
Pulling got worse.
Took it to Ford dealer recommended for their work on trucks.
Replaced all the shocks. Aligned it. Changed out driver tie rod end. Told me it wasn't right- whatever that means.
No difference.
Getting po'ed. Talked to service manager. Tells me they can start throwing parts at it.
WTH. I can do that myself. I pay exorbitant dealer prices for them to fix the problem not jack around.
Find diesel truck shop near me highly recommended. They tell me first appointment 3 months out.
What do you guys think? Change out the steering box?
I have two full size vans that pull left upon braking. Not sure what’s up.
Get an infrared thermometer and see if you have a difference in temps at the wheels, DS to PS. Could be brakes dragging.
OP: Just to clarify, you do mean it pulls while driving down a straight, level, non-crowned road? And not while braking?
My van was aligned a few months ago and I've put 7,000 miles on it since. The alignment is spot-on and there is no uneven tire wear at all.
But if the road is crowned a little, it will pull pretty vigorously to one side or the other.

Another issue is tire pressure---too often overlooked. Could be a collapsed flexible brake line on the offending side OR the caliper slide pins holding the caliper against the rotor.
Hope you get this resolved soon and for little to no more money spent.
I was thinking it was brakes early on. Flexible brake hoses look OK, but was thinking if the passenger side flexible line degloved inside it could cause the driver side to actuate.
I dunno. Replaced it anyway. No diff.
Also thought with the amount of pull, I'd be smelling brake pretty bad?
Yeah. I've got an infared temp gun. I'll check temps side to side, front and back.
Tire pressure is good. Forgot to mention stealership rotated front to back, too. They're less than 5000 mile Yokohama HTX. Front 60. Rear 80.
They're great for road noise. Not so good traction- but then, they tout their tread life so...
Gonna self hijack here.. my sons Sable had a cockeyed steering wheel, took it in for alignment. Felt fine, steering wheel centered. 10k miles later we rotate the tires and the inside edge on both front were completely gone.

Wasn't nearly as bad, but there was definitely a pull.
Front rotors were 230-240 F
Rear driver side 110 F
Rear pass side 250 F
Guess I'll change out both calipers.
