Hey Guys!
So, my bearings in my steering column went out causing my steering wheel to wobble constantly on my 97 F250 HD.
I have found instructions, diagrams and videos on this repair, however, it seems the part numbers i have found with these instructions bring up multiple parts for each number.
Could anyone confirm what the part numbers needed are?
I have
3517 - upper bearing
3L539-Steering Column Shaft Tolerance Ring
3518 - Steering Column Sleeve Rubber
I seem to find 2 parts for each of these items.
If anyone could let me know the full part numbers that would be great!
Thanks for any assistance!
It depends on the situation. I have had the top one go bad, and the bottom one be good. Then I have had the bottom one go bad and the top one be good. If I recall right, I had run the truck with the top bearing out for a while before getting around to replace it. Then a short time later the bottom one went. Maybe you will get lucky and just the top one is the one you need,as it isn’t that difficult to replace. The bottom one is a lot more difficult to replace. Good luck!
