Finally put the truck in the shop to get the paint done... and the day after I got it out some jerk at Ace Hardware apparently couldn't stand the thought of new paint and scarred the right rear by dragging something against the top of the bed. No one parked in the next slot coming or going, so he had to have gone out of his way (and in a dime-sized section it took the paint to bare metal, so he knew he had done it.)
Good thing it was my last day in Houston. On a plus note, I drove her slow and sedate, about 65, to the new house and she made the whole 250+ miles without a hiccup. Never gonna live in a city again. About 13.5-14mpg.
I know how you feel. Another idiot damaged my upholstery in my convertible antique car. Just stupid and jealous.
Not enough brains to work and save so they could have something nice.
This is why I have a motion activated camera' in all of my vehicles. Way too many ***holes out there. One lady backed into my Jeep and completely destroyed the rear quarter panel of her car... Left some paint transfer on my rear aluminum bumper, along with a decent dent. I showed the cops the video. They ran her plate. Cited her for a hit and run. Her insurance had to buy me a new bumper. JEEP JK, aluminum rear bumper cost them $2800.

Its made by Uniden dual camera, one is mounted on the dash, the other is mounted in the rear window. it has motion activator or a G-shock sensor and it will automatically store 30 seconds before the sensor is triggered. I have one in my BWM, my Jeep and the wife's new 4 runner. I don't drive my truck enough to justify buying one for that yet.
This one looks pretty good, can't seem to find the exact one that I have, it's similar to this though
I was in my car at a parking lot,Guy gets into his truck next to me and bang, doored my car good.***** didn't say nothing, just got in and left.Beating them up doesn't do any good, they just heal up,crippling them don't work either, they will just get disability.Only one sure way to get rid of that nonsense.Don't get me wrong, things happen. When the guy whacked my door like that,he was pretty much telling me to screw off.

That kind of thing REALLY pisses me off.
Sure would be nice to have a heavy duty steel edge on your door that you could RETALIATE with. Open your door with GREAT FORCE and leave a mark on their vehicle. And I mean.... a REAL mark!!
LOL.... here is my luck.... I can park 6 open spots away from all the cars in a parking lot. When I get back out..... there will be a dang car parked RIGHT NEXT TO ME with all the other spots still open.
OH... I just happened to think about this one.... My son lived in an apartment complex in a college town one time and he had a spoiled brat neighbor that came in late and parked next to my son's car. I saw the pic so this is no exaggeration..... there was no more than 6" (maybe LESS) between his car and the spoiled brats "monster" truck his daddy gave him. SO, my son had to get in on the passenger side and crawl across over the console to get in the driver seat.
A retaliation strike of some kind wouldn't even phase somebody like that.... first....they don't care and.... "DADDY will give me another one."
Here is the deal.... that wasn't precision parking...... that was "I don't give a rats a$$ parking".
Less than a month after my dad painted what is now my '77 Highboy, we were sitting on the front porch and watched some punk kid about 12 or 13 casually toss his enormous backpack on the hood, bend down to tie his shoe, then slooooooowly drag his backpack across the hood, leaving about 3 feet of scratches. We were able to buff it out, but I tell you what, I never wanted to whip some punk skater kid's *** so bad in my life. He's lucky he was a youngster...
