I need to replace the gear shift **** on my 1968 F250. Previous owner epoxied an aftermarket **** which came off - doh! Now the threads are filled with epoxy... crap! I want to try and cut original threads... Anyone know the size and pitch of the original threads?

I'd just grab a spare G8 nut and wrench it over the threads.
I have a few original ***** laying around if you need one. I swapped mine for the Hurst T-handle that I've had laying around for some 40+ years.

A/T or M/T? If M/T, where is the shift lever, on the column or on the floor?
