Difference from 77 to 78?

Difference from 77 to 78?
Hello,
I have been looking to buy either a 78 or 79 F150 truck. Today I ran across a 77 F150 2nd owner. It is really clean. I am thinking of buying it and wanted to know if there are any differences from the 77 to the 78 F150s? Only thing I know that is differnt from a 78 and 79 is the grill. Something similar to the 77 & 78?
This truck has 400 motor, AC, 4x4, some kind of factory option 2nd gas tank. Going to go test drive it in a couple hours and find the rest of the info out. Asking 2800 obo.
Any help would be great.

Does it have a split grille or a one piece like the '78-9's? If it has the split grille then there are quite a few differences. If it is the one piece grille then there are just minor differences. BTW '78's and '79's have the same grille, just some '78's have the round head lights.
