Spark Plug Gap
My 1995 Explorer Sport 4x4 (V-6) has 112,000 miles and seems on occasion to be misfiring. I bought OEM replacement spark plugs (Autolite Double Platinum APP765). I can't find the emissions sticker to learn the gap specs. I looked under the hood... but no sticker.
Anyway, what should the spark plug gap be set at?
Would the APP765 plugs already be correctly gapped right out of the package?

The manual calls for the gap to be set to .054 inches. I suggest always checking the gap, even if the plugs are supposedly pre-gapped. If you are going to replace the plugs, you might also consider doing the wires as well.
