Brake Light Switch Frying

After bowing a couple turn signal/brake light fuses I noticed that the connections on the brake light switch on my master cylinder were just frying. Anyone encountered this or know what could be causing it?

Heavy draw from the lights can cause this.
Also cheap switches.
Relaying the brake lights will almost eliminate the switch problems, plus you can check the circuit by listening for the relay 'click'.

Fuses usually blow if there is a short or excessive current draw in the system. Wires can also get hot if there is a short or excessive draw in the system somewhere. If the brake lights are stock bulbs I'd check out your wiring and the switch for a short. Or as my favorite electrician has on the side of his van "We'll check your shorts". LOL.
