Problem with 2005 6.0
My truck has been running perfectly fine up until a few days ago. When I drove to work I noticed when I came to a complete stop and started to accelerate when the light turned green I had a hard time accelerating and it would jump speed or slowly accelerate. Then the rpms would go wild moving up and down then white smoke came out of my exhaust. When I came home from work it didn’t do it. The next day it did the same thing to and from work. Where it would just be jumpy and seem to have a hard time getting into gear as I accelerated or be sluggish doing it. The white smoke out of exhaust would still come.
I have an idea of what the problem is. I believe I have to clean out the egr valve and change my air filter. I think it might also be a fuel problem so maybe changing the fuel filter and using an additive will help.
My truck is bulletproofed so I have a bullet proofed egr cooler. Any one have an insight of what the problem might be? Thanks!
