Update on the truck.
I took the terminals off last night and charged the battery. Everything seemed to be going well and it charged before bed. Overnight I let the truck sit without the terminals attached and this morning the battery still had power! I went to start it up and got a horrible grinding. So, at some point the starter motor got screwed up. So yet another thing on the list to fix...

There are seemingly a lot of options for alternators and starters I can get (at least on rock auto). Does anyone have a suggestion on how to find which design I need specifically and which brand/type is the best bang for the buck/most reliable?
