Finaly found one.

Had to drive almost 1000 miles round trip but she's in the driveway, 2017 F350 Lariat ultimate Fx4. Took a while trying to find one with the upgrades I wanted, the long bed was the biggest issue. Short beds were everywhere. Has push button start and the aux heater because it came down from Canada, 12,000 miles when I drove it off the lot. A few questions for you guys, Is the Smartlink worth installing? Is just a leveling kit good enough since it has the Fx4 suspension? Should I stay with the 20 inch factory wheels and go with 35's when I change tires or do you guys think I should go with a smaller wheel? I usually like more meat on the sidewall but these wheels don't look bad at all. Thanks to everyone who gave their input when I was deciding on the truck I wanted, you all helped a lot.

Nice find....Congrats!! A 285x65x20 on the stock wheels should clear at stock height. These are close to 35x12 tires BFG KO2's look good in this size.

FX4 is just shocks, the rest of the suspension is the same as any other f350. Most say the shocks are crap so it might be worth getting some upgraded shock with a leveling kit. Personally I like 20's on these trucks and when I do go up a tire size I will be keeping the factory 20's on, I prefer that look. Those wheels look like the last gen Platinum wheels, could be wrong.

My son in laws '17 Lariat ultimate F250 with the Lariat optional 20's. I like the factory wheels with a little larger AT tire.

Good find! Do you have the window sticker by chance? If it came factory with snow plow prep package it may already be an inch higher in front. I think I may have read that somewhere on this forum
I use smartlink on mine because you can remote start from anywhere. The key fob doesnt have a long signal. Plus there's a few other nice things about it. Just try it & see if you like it. That's a nice truck!.

Forget about smartlink. Ford pulled all the interfaces from the market that work with the 2017s and earlier. There are very few available. I gave my local dealer the p/n’s they found 1 in the central/north Florida area. That dealer would not transfer it. The cost for the interface was 400 plus installation and programming.

Verizon no longer supports it. I have no idea what carrier does. The dealer that had it did not supply that info.

But if you can find one, go for it. Not having it is the reason I wish I waited a little longer to make my purchase.

Yep, those are the 20's i have, my favorite factory wheel and I agree, they look good with a larger A/T on them. The OP's truck looks like it has the 11-16 Platinum 20's on it.

Here's the window sticker. Doesn't look like it has the snow prep package.

Shocks, skid plates and a fancy sticker as far as I know. Doesn't make sense to put crappy shocks on a upgrade. I'll have to look into that.

You have stock 18” wheels on this truck just like mine. I like the ride of the 18” wheels with beefed side walls. Plus with the 3.31 rear you have I would stick with 18” tires.

I didn't mention the other stuff included with the FX4 cause it has nothing to do with suspension. I'm not sure if they are supposed to be valved for better offroad performance or what, but when you look into it you will find many people stating that they are pretty worthless as far as an upgrade goes.

What is the PTC heater? I have rapid heat and I ordered it this way, probably the only one with rapid heat and no block heater at least I’ve seen. Rapid heat is nowhere to be found this far south.

Anyway you have most of the good options like Lariat ultimate and adaptive cruise. The only downside is the 3.31 but at least you have the elocker. You do not have HD or snowplow front springs. Those wheels are the last gen Platinum wheels.

As to your original question I would go with some 35s and no taller. I would sell those platinum wheels and go aftermarket. BDS has a good 2 level inch kit, would look good with aftermarket wheels; unless you tow/haul heavy and dont do anything.

The 3.31 doesn't really bother me because I don't tow a whole lot, If I did I would have gone higher. The PTC is like the rapid heater and comes on the Canadian models standard.

Flyct, the wheels are 20", I checked the size. I prefer 18's myself, will see how I feel when I need to buy tires.
